Monday Update

Kevin's liver has still not started working properly, so the doctors have decided to put a small stint in tomorrow afternoon. This is not a major surgery and as stated before, just another hurdle for our tough man to conquer. Kevin looks good and is still walking the halls a few times a day. He is just irritated that he can not have a cheeseburger and some of those juicy Sticky Fingers wings. He really appreciated the cards from KB's classes and KB really enjoyed hand delivering them this afternoon. They would still appreciate no visitors as it just takes too much out of Kevin. He knows you are all thinking about him and we are delivering the comments from the blog during his visits with KB each day.

OK, OK - I can't give up the wings but I'm not going to have a cheeseburger until you can! So HURRY UP & GET BETTER!

Kevin, Becky and KB,

Hurdle #2...NOTHING that can't be jumped...YOU ARE THE BLANCHARDS! You're all so strong and amazing! I keep thinking of rainbows after the presence of the most incredible one enveloping KB this past weekend and ROYGBIV - not only initials standing for the colors of the rainbow but, "Really, Oh, You've Gotta Believe In Victory!" We do! We know all will go well tomorrow. We're just sorry it's part of the healing process for you. You're all in our constant thoughts and prayers. Get better soon, Kevin, or I'll have to unleash George and some of his ridiculous humor on you in the next blog update from The Durney's! That'll certainly cure the craving for Sticky Finger wings, burgers, or anything else you're thinking of at the moment! Best diet in town! God bless tomorrow. We know it'll all be okay.

Love,

Anne (and the boys)

Looking for words to inspire and I come up with nothing! Nothing because, Kevin Blanchard, you are the real inspiration. To every one who knows you, you are the real hero. You have never quit, never walked away from a tough fight. Always with a smile, a kind word and a helping hand. You will conquer every hurdle because you know no other way. We are proud to be your friends. Love and prayers continue, Linwood & Debra

We think of you everyday and pray for a speedy recovery. I like what Deb said so it is worth repeating because that's how we Sturmer's feel also, "You have never quit, never walked away from a tough fight. Always with a smile, a kind word and a helping hand."
Especially thinking back to Andrea and Andy's baby shower you must have felt terrible then and you never showed it.
KB, Becky and Mandy keep up the good work and take care of our man
Jacquie
